Summit Windmill Golf Residence, Your Ideal Resort near Suvarnabhumi airport

Chris and I had limited time to spend for our post-holiday celebration. We wanted to enjoy an extra special place after his one-month adventure in South Africa. Someplace with a touch of home, something that’s relaxing and accessible.

There were too many options near Suvarnabhumi International Airport until we found Summit Windmill Golf Residences that offered The One-Bedroom Residence. It’s 109-sqm accommodation that offered more than what we expected. That being said, it’s safe to say that it passed all our qualifications.

Our room had a huge kitchen with a huge refrigerator and a cooking range. Coffee cups, cooking, and eating utensils were also available.

There was a washing machine, too!

The kitchen has a big rectangular table that is good for four.

The One Bedroom Residence – Our Room

Our room was facing the golf course, giving us a beautiful view of the greens and the morning.

We would watch golfers play every morning, and seeing how good they were, we wished we could play golf, too. But that was quite expensive, so maybe next time.

Right behind our bedroom was the study table equipped with the intercom, a pen, and writing pad for requests and what not.

The Closet

Right behind our bedroom was the study table equipped with the intercom, a pen, and writing pad for requests and what not.

The Bathroom

The toilet was spotless, the shower was soothing, and the bathroom had my most favorite feature: bathtub with hot water. And I had it all to myself, as Chris isn’t fond of bathtubs.

Our accommodation included a breakfast buffet for two. We savored the Thai food, pastries, fruits, cereals and other food items. Breakfast by the Fountain Restaurant was available from 6 am to 10 am.

Swimming Pool?

Yes! Although the swimming pool is not that big, it’s perfect enough for couples like us. It’s a nice place for sunbathing, giving a nice view of the golf course.

All rooms at the Summit Windmill Golf Residences are fully-furnished that features contemporary and modern Asian interior.

And since Summit Windmill Golf Residences’ vicinity is a golf course, you could wander around by bicycle or by golf cart. Simply ask the staff which areas you’re allowed in.

Also, don’t forget to dine at Summit Windmill Golf Residences’ The Fountain Bar & Restaurant, and the other two exquisite restaurants, Latest Recipe and Favola, located at one of my most favorite luxury hotel resorts, Le Meridien Suvarnabhumi Resort and Spa where I spent my Christmas in 2017.

Why Stay?

Summit Windmill Golf Residences is ideal for travelers who are catching a flight within the next few days, or those wanting to relax in a totally serene environment.

It’s also perfect for businessmen or people who are fond of playing golf. Monthly stay? Yes! They also have monthly rates for long-term stay. Check their official website to know more!

Plus we didn’t miss the chance to watch the beautiful sunset right straight from our balcony!

Did we like our stay here?

Absolutely! Yes! The facilities are splendid. The process is outstanding—from checking in and out to getting picked up from and being taken to the airport. For some reasons, though, I wouldn’t rate the whole staff with five stars. Nevertheless, we did enjoy our stay!

Our most favorite spot is the absolute certainty about privacy and the chance to unwind. As I’ve mentioned above, Chris just got back from a month’s worth of adventure and I was managing a guesthouse in Bangkok. The Summit Windmill Golf Residences gave us the delightful time we’d always wanted to spend together!

Areas for improvement: Staff in the kitchen, daily cleaning in the room and balcony.

Wow, that´s what I call luxery. If I ever get to that area I will keep
it in mind. I´d probably stay next to the pool most of the time though
since I am not so much into golfing haha

What a beautiful residence! It is definitely huge, and I love that you can cook your own meals, it’s not the usual residence with tiny kitchens, this one has a fridge bigger than mine! 😀 I’m noting it down, thanks for the tip!

Great recommendation and certainly useful if you are looking for a hotel near Bangkok airport. It’s great that it offers an outdoor pool and that rooms come with a kitchen. Looks very comfortable, clean and neat. Great stuff.

Sounds like a great option for those who want to stay close to the airport. I did not think airport hotels could be so pretty! I love their pool overlooking the golfing greens and the bathroom seems to be the feature that stands out in the rooms. Thanks for the recommendations!

Elegant and contemporary designs work for me and these interiors are definitely appealing. I may not use the kitchenette much but the views area wonderfully pleasant. I would love to keep this as an option.

Bangkok is seriously busy, it’s nice to know there is a place in the city to unwind and find some peace. A great spot to get away from the gritty hustle and bustle of downtown, and a chance to relax before flying off on to the next adventure. Anywhere that offers breakfast buffets and private pools is my kind of place. Thanks for sharing.

We did something similar when we were in South Africa about a year ago. We stayed at a place called Arabella that had a golf course and it was indeed fun to walk around the course late afternoon when the golfers had finished. Golf courses are a great place to see wildlife especially if you like birds. Saw a bunch of guineafowl and hawks.

Summit Windmill Golf Residence looks like such glorious luxury – and so much space to enjoy too, that is a big room! I’ve stayed in golfing hotels before and they do offer something a bit different even if you don’t play golf – all that expanse of nature! I think this hotel would suit my husband and I – so elegant!

I usually avoid staying near an airport, but I will make an exception for Summit Windmill Golf Residence. This place looks ideal for some TLC especially after weeks/months of travelling (or working). Bali used to be my choice when it comes to relaxing, but I think I have a new destination now. Thanks!

It is always nice to take a vacation from the vacation. Travel can be exhausting and having a few days to recover is amazing. I could read a book by that pool for a couple of days. I like that this residence is near the airport.

This does seem like a gorgeous place to stay and unwind. And a free shuttle to the airport definitely adds to the positives. I just wonder how far it is from the main city and if this would be a good option if you want to explore Bangkok. I like the comfortable rooms and the simple decor within .

@AmiBhat, yes it is! The Free shuttle is like a big van limousine! It is 50 minutes to one hour away from the city by the airport rail link!

@ Fairzuz, I see! Us, too! We avoid it as much as we can but if this kind of hotel we’re staying and given a limited time, we select it. Oh, I love Bali! We’re thinking of going there this year. It’s gonna be my second time! Love surfing!

@Sam Sparrow, yes that’s right! Luxury and relaxing vibe! We love the combination! That’s nice! What kind of other activities did you do then? We didn’t play golf, we just had enough cooling down and delicious foods! I’m sure you will, I hope you and your husband can stay there, next time!

It looks like a lovely aparthotel. I just wonder how far it is from the main sights of Bangkok? We’ve been there and it can take quite a while and be costly to get around because of the traffic. Sounds like this place is best suited if need a place close to the airport.
